Soiltech is both pioneer of and market leader in the soil mixing technique in Belgium. This new technique has been developed thanks to Soiltech’s commitment and expertise. Soiltech laid the foundations for both the practical execution and theoretical approach and documented the technique and calculation method in its CUR-handbook.
This vibration-free deep foundation technology uses the available soil as raw material for creating deep foundation elements. The CSM (cutter soil mixing) cutter is driven into the soil using a deep foundation machine with telescopic leader mast. While milling, grout (cement and water) is injected under pressure through the entry tube and mixed with the soil into a homogeneous mixture, creating a soil mix section in the soil. A soil mix wall consists of primary and secondary sections that are partially milled across one another, creating a closed, continuous and water-inhibiting layer.
The technique is extremely suited for sheet-piling building pits, for installing water-resistant walls and foundations of buildings, next to existing constructions or not, or for stabilising the subsoil.
With its machines, Soiltech can install soil mix walls up to a depth of 34 metres.
