Since its take-over by Jan De Nul Group, Soiltech’s machinery has been significantly extended with a focus on the installation of diaphragm walls.
Soiltech can install diaphragm walls up to depths of over 40 metres. It is the only possible sheet piling technique for very deep excavations. The wall is created by excavating trenches with grabs under the protection of a supporting fluid (bentonite), followed by applying reinforcement and concreting the whole. Diaphragm walls are not only a suited solution as earth- and water-retaining walls for large and complex building pits, but also as continuous or supporting walls for tunnel or car park projects in urban environments or as quay and lock walls.
Diaphragm wall experts of the Soiltech team have successfully completed the first projects.
